# Delicious Pi Problems - Use as Booklet or as Stations

Regular price \$3.00 \$0.00 Unit price per

Practice with circumference and area of circles (and volume of cylinders in the challenge level) using yummy foods! These word problems include circle formulas with pi and it doubles as a coloring book!

This set can be used on Pi Day, or any time you need to practice basic skills with circle formulas.

(This resource is also available with a bundled discount inside the Pi Day Activity Bundle here)

The “basic” set of problems (pages 6-10) is ideal for middle school students in 6th or 7th grade who are working on finding area and circumference of a circle.

The “challenge” set of problems (pages 13-17) is best for students in 8th grade or high school, since it includes not only area and circumference of a circle, but also volume of cylinders and multi-step problems that require working with more than one formula as well.

You can print just the problem cards (which are numbered 1-10 in each set), and display them around the room as a walk-about activity, or use them in stations or as practice problems…

OR

You can print the cover as well, and arrange the pages into a booklet. Students can color the images to add a little fun and relaxation, and they have space to show their work right on each page.

Reviews from other teachers:

I really liked the two levels of challenge. The students enjoyed the connection to "real world" round foods and objects. It was great to have both the circumference given and then the students had to "reverse" the formula. They enjoyed coloring if they finished early. GREAT RESOURCE for Pi Day! Thank you!

- My child loved this resource. It was fun to color and individualize. The Pi math problems were challenging but not impossible to do.
