This risk-taking strategy game of conquering territories offers a fun way to practice math skills.

Your students can continue playing the same game with the same opponent throughout the school year as they learn each type of equation.

Just distribute the card sets for the skills you'd like them to work on, and switch out card sets whenever you want without having to re-start the game. They can keep on going, conquering territories week after week!

You can also mix the card sets together as review.

9 different card sets are included for the following skills:

- Solving one step equations

- Solving two step equations

- Solving equations with variables on both sides

- Solving one step inequalities

- Solving two step inequalities

- Solving inequalities with variables on both sides

- Finding slope

- Slope-intercept form

- Different forms of linear equations

With each "attack," players must solve the problem on the card. The battle result is determined by the solution. Soldiers are lost and gained until students slowly conquer one another's territories on the map.

This is a two-player game. Each student in the pair will need a different color dry-erase marker to keep track of soldiers on the laminated map.

Set includes:
- map (must be printed and laminated only once)
- game rules (half sheet to print for each group only once)
- cards with equations (print and cut for each group for each game)
- "Battle Results" chart (half sheet to print for each group)
- teacher directions

Here is a video showing how to play!

I am very pleased with this product. My students have been so engaged playing this game. My students have been having great math conversations for the past two days. Students have become experts as they work together to solve these equations. This game is in no way a replacement for a worksheet. It is so much more powerful. This is an amazing resource. Thank you.
