Right Triangles and Trigonometry: "Choose Your Own Journey" Book
Right Triangles & Trigonometry: Practice / Review
Online Google Slides version now included!
These books will help your students to practice applying right triangle concepts. Within the story are situations in which the reader must use Distance Formula / Pythagorean Theorem, Right Triangle Trigonometry, and Angles of Elevation and Depression. All work is done within the book.
Students make choices and head to the page that they are directed to. Students will have different results depending on their choice as the story continues. Your class will enjoy this format and get in a few great opportunities to practice the concepts and processes for finding missing measurements in right triangles.
The books are great as a review at the end of a right triangles unit. They are also wonderful for a substitute teacher day. The books are self-guided and can be done independently. The book is partially self-correcting, so teacher correcting and grading is very minimal. If students make choices that are not ideal, they are given an explanation to help them.
