These books will help your students to practice finding and interpreting slope, writing linear equations, and graphing. Within the story are situations in which the reader must solve real - world problems using linear equations. All student work is done directly in the book.

Students make choices and head to the page that they are directed to. Students will show different work depending on their choice as the story continues. Your class will enjoy this format and get a few great opportunities to practice slope and linear equations.

The book partially self-corrects students as they read and work. An answer card is also included to hand out or check student work if you choose. Grading is minimal. This is a great independent activity for a substitute day if students are already familiar with finding slope, writing and solving linear equations, and using graphs and tables.
