Valentine's Day Math Activity: Solving Proportions (+ word problems with proportions included too!)

In this activity, students solve 15 proportions and color the heart design according to the solutions (like a color-by-number). Each student needs one “Proportions Hearts” coloring sheet and one “Problem Set” sheet.

This activity includes a choice of two different sets of proportions problems. Set A contains simple, basic proportions. Set B is contains word problems in which students must set up the proportion themselves, then solve.

Choose the set that is best for the ability level of your class or use a combination of both options for differentiation.
